GST Registration
GST registration certificate is a valid document getting after taking registration under the Goods & Service Tax Act in India. Any business in India whose total turnover exceeds the threshold limit for GST registration is required to get registered under GST Act.
Certain businesses need to mandatorily get registered under GST such as casual taxable persons, non-resident taxable persons, etc.
Every taxpayer who has successfully registered under GST Act. The Gst department is issued a certificate in form GST REG-06. The registration certificate is available for downloading only on the GST Portal, and the government does not issue any physical registration certificate.
The taxpayer is required to display this certificate at his place of business, as listed in the Form GST REG-06. This is laid down in CGST Rule 18 and any failure can attract a penalty of up to Rs.25,000.
MSME Registration
Udyam registration or MSME is a certificate which is issued by the MINISTRY OF MICRO, SMALL & MEDIUM ENTERPRISES, GOI ( Government of India ( to any person who intends to establish a micro, small or medium enterprise in India may file Udyam Registration online on the Udyam Registration portal of Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India.
The registration is based on self-declaration with no requirement to upload documents, papers, certificates, or proof.
